This Red Sea diving safari caters to divers with some experience, offering access to some of the region’s most renowned dive sites. Prepare for exhilarating dives, dramatic drop-offs, vibrant coral walls, and encounters with a variety of large marine species.
Fury Shoals Adventures
Within the Fury Shoals system, Sha’ab Claudio is a highlight for divers and underwater photographers alike. Its shallow swim-through system, with five entrances and exits, allows for relaxed and enjoyable exploration. The shallow depths make navigation easy, allowing divers to appreciate the light filtering through the water and the diverse marine life. Keep an eye out for rays, nudibranchs, large Napoleon wrasse, moray eels, and perhaps even a whitetip reef shark or turtle.
Sha’ab Sataya, situated at the southernmost point of Fury Shoals, is a vast natural lagoon formed by a massive reef. Sataya is famous for its steep drop-offs, pelagic sightings, and pristine pinnacles covered in soft and hard corals. The frequent visits by large pods of spinner dolphins have earned it the nickname “Dolphin House” of Hamata.
Safari Highlights
Depending on weather conditions, your guides will select suitable night dive locations outside the Marine Park area.
- Elphinstone Reef: A legendary Red Sea dive site, Elphinstone is considered one of the most beautiful reefs. Its north and south plateaus are adorned with vibrant hard and soft corals, and the presence of pelagic species makes it a truly spectacular dive.
- Daedalus Reef: Located approximately 180 km south of the Brother Islands, Daedalus Reef is another gem within the Marine Park. This large, oval reef, marked by a lighthouse, is the furthest offshore reef in the Egyptian Red Sea. Its sheer walls and strong currents create excellent conditions for drift diving.
• Elphinstone: Elphinstone’s walls, draped in soft corals, are a prime location for observing grey reef sharks circling the plateaus. Oceanic whitetip sharks are also regularly seen here throughout the year.
